This conference will bring together mathematicians and physicists from different backgrounds interested in mathematical models of nonlinear waves, in particular in networks. These models are natural reductions of complex physical theories and allow mathematically rigorous studies.
Nonlinear waves transport energy coherently, they also describe important practical problems such as networks of fluids, gases, electrical grids, fiber lasers, the modeling of epidemics on a geographical network, neural networks in biology, etc.
Aim of the conference
We plan to bring together physicists and mathematicians, specialists in these fields. We aim to facilitate communication between disciplines on these highly topical themes and identify new subjects for collaboration.
The conference will also reinforce the collaboration between the three organizing research laboratories on these topics.
Finally, it will be the opportunity to celebrate the 60th birthday of Jean-Guy Caputo and honor his contributions in the field.
Date and venue
The conference will take place on July 4th and 5th, 2022, at INSA Rouen Normandy campus.
